Listening to a good song is a lot like savoring a piece of fruit: you want it to be firm but sweet, mouthwatering and refreshing. You want to enjoy every minute of it and when youre done, you want to feel satisfied and well nourished. Renown rapper RASHEEDA has been satisfying the musical palates of hip hop heads for several years now and the musical fruits that she bears just seem to get better with time. Her hip hop highness has been cranking out spitfire, take-no-prisoner rap songs since the early 90s, back when she was barely a teenager herself and most of her peers were just shunning their pigtails and bobby socks. Since that time, shes not only ruled supreme over the Crunk Kingdom but she has also established herself as one of the sexiest women in hip hop, unafraid to cut to the chase in her music and say what every woman wants to say and every man wants to hear. RASHEEDAs latest offering, Georgia Peach, finds the strikingly beautiful rapper reclaiming her throne with confidence and skill.

The album is definitely a street certified classic, says RASHEEDA. I call it a classy ghetto-fabulous street masterpiece that takes you from the street to the bedroom, to the ups and downs of relationships to an up close and personal tour of how I'm livin. The lead single, Touch Ya Toes, is a self-explanatory heater that finds RASHEEDA whetting the musical appetites of old and new fans. This song is a sexy club banger. Fellas wanna see the ladies bend over in the club, she explains. Lyrically its catchy and its sexy. RASHEEDA takes bragging rights on the bass-heavy female anthem"my bubble gum"and gets down right naughty with Georgia Peach, which she describes as a sexual but tastefully done song that is really quite self-explanatory. She adds, Its definitely for the ladies. You could say its the opposite of 50 Cents Candy Shop. Pack Ya Bags, featuring R&B singer Kalenna, is a straight-up kick-your-man-to-the-curb anthem. This is a relationship record, RASHEEDA explains. Your mans no good, you've been putting up with his lies and cheating for so long and now you cant take it. Its time for him to pack his bags and go.

You Can Get It is a joint RASHEEDA describes as a crazy street anthem with hot and sexy lyrics while See Me Naked, featuring Jasper, takes the direct approach. RASHEEDA explains: This song is basically saying you can try to impress me, take me out, and buy me things but at the end of the day keep it real. You just wanna see me naked. RASHEEDA says being frank in her music comes naturally for her. My music is a voice for the ladies and a manual for the fellas so I have to be frank. I'm a woman in a male-dominated industry. I have to bring it and bring it real. And Georgia Peach is as real as it gets. The subject matter on the album is basically my experiences, says RASHEEDA. Its about things I have seen and things I have wanted to address. Never one to be boxed in, RASHEEDA says Georgia Peach represents a depar ture form the music on her previous national release, Dirty South.

The album is definitely different from my last album. I have grown so much as a woman and a mother and my life has taken a 360-degree turn. I'm a very focused and driven woman who is secure and confident. I know who I am and what I want and that shows on this project. Artists checking in on Georgia Peach are Akon, Jodi Breeze, Jasper, Gangsta Boo, Diamond and Princess of Crime Mob, Kalenna and Pastor Troy.Fabo Production is served up by Jasper, Akon, Nitti, Stokely Watson and D-Lo producer Shiwen Shann. A native of Decatur, Illinois, RASHEEDA started out as a member of the teenage hip hop trio Da Kaperz. When she decided to go solo, she quickly caught the attention of Motown Records, for whom she released Dirty South in 2001, an attention-grabber that featured the dirty south anthem Do It (Do Da Damn Thang) with Pastor Troy. Her follow-up was 2002s A Ghetto Dream, released on Kirk Frosts Atlanta-based D-Lo Entertainment. The set featured collaborations with crunk crusaders Lil Jon and the Eastside Boyz, 404 Soldierz, Baby D, Archie, Que Bo Gold and Pastor Troy.

Georgia Peach is the follow-up to the critically acclaimed singles Vibrate featuring Petey Pablo and Rocked Away with Lil Scrappy. As RASHEEDA furthers her journey, she says she has no plans to stray from her course. Still recording for D-Lo Atlanta-based, RASHEEDA says she knows it is now her time to rule the hip hop kingdom and she plans to do it her way. Im distinctive, I have my own sound, she says, and I put out my own music. I dont feel like I sound like anybody or look like any other female. I dont try to mock anything, I just try to go out here and do what RASHEEDA does and that was my whole thing about coming out and being RASHEEDA. When you come out as an artist youre also a person that people look at. I want people to see me for just what I am -- not for something that I have to put on.
