Ben Robert Moody (born January 22, 1980, in Little Rock, Arkansas, U.S.) is a singer–songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, record producer, and actor. He is best known as co-founder, lead guitarist, and songwriter of Grammy Award-winning rock band Evanescence from 1995 to October 2003. Since leaving Evanescence, Moody has collaborated with an array of performers, both vocally and as a writer.
