Serj Tankian (born August 21, 1967 in Beirut, Lebanon) is a Lebanese-born Armenian-American Songwriter,Poet, Activist, and Musician. He is best known as the lead vocalist, keyboardist and rhythm guitarist of the alternative metal band System of a Down, as well as, along with Tom Morello, the co-founder of Axis of Justice, a nonprofit organization. He made five albums with System of a Down and will release a new solo album, Elect the Dead, on October 23, 2007.
He played most of the instruments himself but did get help from System of a Down drummer John Dolmayan and former Primus/current Guns N' Roses drummer Bryan "Brain" Mantia, along with Dan Monti on guitar and bass, Larry "Ler" LaLonde of Primus on guitar, opera singer Ani Maldjian and some string players, Antonio Pontarelli among them. The official tour for Elect the Dead commenced on October 12 with a show at Chicago's Vic theater. 韓國倫理電影
